Peter Hogg
Senior Council Chair
Peter is the CBI’s Senior Council Chair and ex officio member of the CBI Board, focusing on representing the views of members and the CBI’s councils and committees on the Board and leading the CBI Chairs’ Committee.
Peter is a Chartered Surveyor with thirty-five years of experience delivering major, complex real estate and infrastructure programmes in the UK and globally. He has enjoyed a 26-year career at Dutch headquartered, global engineering, design, and programme management consultancy Arcadis, where he is London City Executive and a member of the Senior Leadership Group. A passionate urbanist and built environmentalist, Peter is a non-executive board member of the Thames Estuary Growth Commission, chairs the Places board of the Association of Consultancy & Engineering, and was a commissioner of the post-pandemic London Places Commission.
Peter started his career in the private sector with an SME surveying and engineering practice and has since held leadership roles in start-ups, large private partnerships, and publicly quoted global multi-disciplinary consultancies, giving him extensive experience in a wide range of businesses
Peter lives in London and France with his wife and two teenage daughters.
