Matt Bratton

Regional Director, North East and Cumbria

From Newcastle, Matt leads our activity across the North East, Tees Valley and Cumbria, supporting members across the area and ensuring there is a strong northern voice within the CBI.

He represents industry interests on various formal and informal boards and advisory groups in the regions, and manages the CBI’s relationship with local and mayoral authorities, and with multiple government departments based at Darlington Economic Campus.

Prior to joining the CBI, Matt’s career spanned economic growth policy, business support, inward investment, and destination development.
