Sean McGuire

Director, Europe and International

In his role at the CBI, Sean is responsible for overseeing the EU-UK relationship following the agreement of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with emphasis on ensuring full implementation, as well as building bilateral relations with EU member states.

Sean is the first Chair of the UK Domestic Advisory Group (DAG), the civil society consultative body set out under the TCA. He also leads several EU policy campaigns of strategic importance for UK business, including trade, climate change, and digital.

He is also responsible for coordinating the CBI’s membership of BusinessEurope, and the business versions of the G7 and G20- the B7 and B20.
