The CBI and TUC lead negotiation of a joint statement to inform the 2021 G7 Summit on creating a greener, more prosperous future
Ahead of the 2021 G7 Summit, the B7 and L7 – led by the CBI and TUC – and the international social partners, have agreed a joint statement setting out the actions that G7 counties should take to promote job opportunities, decent work, skills and entrepreneurship in the global effort to build back better.
COVID-19 continues to deeply impact economies and labour markets across the G7, so this moment demands global leadership and unity in the face of adversity. Employment, skills and entrepreneurship are fundamental to delivering the G7’s ambition of building back better from the COVID-19 pandemic. The B7, L7 and international social partners have eight priorities which we hope will inform this year’s negotiations on how G7 countries can do so, and achieve a greener, more prosperous future.
