Your April update on the latest international developments.
With May just around the corner and spring almost certainly here, it’s been a busy month for the CBI’s International team. The war in Ukraine continues and the CBI has been working tirelessly to support business via our Ukraine hub and CBI President continues to use his convening power to send food boxes to Ukrainian families, helping them combat devastating food shortages. Across our international offices there has been plenty of engagement with the Prime Minister in India, UK-US trade talks continuing and the government setting up the Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) as called for by the CBI. And of course, there has been much attention on the French elections, with Emmanuel Macron seeing off his far-right opponent of Marine Le Pen.
