UK-China, an opportunity government and business can’t ignore
This month kicked off with a new Lunar (Chinese) New Year, the year of the Tiger, celebrated by the CBI, in partnership with Huawei Technologies, with a small but important dinner. Regardless of political noise, China still represents a hugely important market for UK goods and services. The recent news that the Prime Minister and Chancellor are reviving economic and financial dialogue between the UK and China indicates realisation that the UK must still compete for opportunities whilst standing up to challenges. It will be an important for members to feed in priorities both from market but also from HQs in the UK.
