Financial services matter, both for the whole economy and in their own right. The sector helps businesses manage risk and pay wages and suppliers, so it's plays a crucial role in driving prosperity across the UK.

This report is based on direct evidence from roundtables and surveys of more than 80 financial services members and trade associations, as well as non-financial services members - their customers.

It outlines the contribution the sector makes to the whole economy as well the opportunities presented by getting UK financial services strategy right. And that includes having an agile and robust regulatory and taxation regime to deal with new challenges, risks and customer demands as the sector responds to technological change.
