Brian Holliday, Managing Director for Siemens Digital Industries and Chairman of Siemens Industry Software UK, has been appointed as new chair of the manufacturing council – the CBI’s committee for policy related to the manufacturing sector.
As chair, Brian will help guide the council’s focus on championing manufacturing as a high-tech, modern component of the UK economy, and help foster a positive investment environment for UK manufacturing.

Brian’s expertise will drive the council to focus on key issues around productivity and resilience, and ensure manufacturing is at the heart of the UK’s levelling up agenda as we look to go for growth post-COVID.
We are also grateful to Tom Crotty for his leadership of the council since 2018 and his continued role on the council in coming years.”
