Ben Jones
Principal Economist
Ben is a Lead Economist within the CBI, with over twenty years’ experience in macroeconomic forecasting, policy research and analysis of international business trends. He is part of the team that oversees the CBI’s assessment of the economic landscape, contributing to the bi-annual forecast and overseeing the analysis of CBI surveys, and he is a regular speaker at CBI member Councils and events. Ben also assists with the scoping and delivery of economic analysis to help formulate CBI policy positions, participating in recent projects on the energy crisis, biodiversity, innovation, regional growth, Covid and Brexit impacts. Ben joined the CBI from the Economist Group in 2013.
