Martin Sartorius
Principal Economist
Martin is a Principal Economist in the CBI’s economics team. Within the Economic Intelligence team, he is responsible for macroeconomic analysis of the UK and the CBI’s bi-annual US economic forecast. Martin leads the CBI’s quarterly financial services survey, and he regularly presents on the UK economic outlook to business leaders and government stakeholders. Martin supports a variety of economic analysis work for CBI policy projects and has experience managing and delivering economic consulting projects for CBI Economics. He has previously led the CBI’s bi-annual China, India, and oil market forecasts, in addition to the manufacturing and distribution business surveys.
Martin has worked at the CBI since 2017, prior to which he delivered cross-channel business analytics as an analyst at BryterCX, and delivered regional economic forecasts and published written analysis as a research analyst for the Lowe Institute of Political Economy.
