Economic Briefing (Yorkshire & Humber)

Join us for an economic briefing and a stocktake of how the new Labour government is progressing with its manifesto commitments and what we might expect to see in the Chancellor's Budget later this year.

Mohammad Jamei, Director of Economic Policy at CBI, will provide an update on discussions that the CBI policy and economic teams have had with HM Treasury and other stakeholders, as well as what the economic and fiscal position around the Budget is likely to be.

This will help to contextualise the types of policies we might see and their size.

The session will also cover elements of the Spending Review currently underway. This review sets the government departmental budget for at least the next financial year and will have implications for procurement and other departments' spending on areas such as defence, education, and infrastructure.

This event, delivered in partnership with Bailie Group and facilitated by Beckie Hart, Regional Director, Yorkshire & the Humber is aimed at senior leaders with an interest in how changes to tax and economic policy impacts business success.
