- CBI Europe
Find out how our Brussels office can support your business
Established in 1971, the CBI Brussels Office is a key lobbying and advocacy hub for UK companies. The office acts as a representation for British business vis-à-vis the European Institutions. The CBI Brussels Office works closely with CBI members and colleagues to communicate their views to the EU Institutions.
The Brussels office remains active in influencing EU legislation and regulations so as to ensure that access to the UK’s largest trading partner remains a frictionless as possible under the TCA and that new EU regulation supports EU-UK trade and does not create NTBs which reduces the capacity/increases the cost of UK businesses to provide goods and services to the EU markets.
Working as part of the CBI Europe team, we follow closely the implementation of the Trade and Co-operation Agreement and ensure that business interests and concerns are communicated to policymakers within the EU Institutions. The team is responsible for bilateral relations with key EU trading partners, as we look to build strong bilateral relations with key Member States.

- CBI Washington
Find out how our Washington office can support your business
The CBI Washington office opened in 2002 as the CBI’s first office outside Europe, reflecting the importance of the UK’s economic relationship with the United States and its wider interests in North America.
The Washington office provides a base from which the CBI can promote member interests to a North American audience. They provide a range of services to member companies, whether in the UK, the US, Canada, or elsewhere, including:
- Information on the latest legislative, regulatory and economic developments in the US, Canada, and Mexico
- Lobbying on issues of particular importance to our member companies
- Networking opportunities, to help those on both sides of the Atlantic understand how to increase the flow of transatlantic business
With a responsibility first and foremost to represent the interests of our members, and secondarily to promote the enormous impact British investment has on the North American economy, we have maintained a strong relationship with federal and sub federal governments in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Additionally, we work closely with non-governmental partners in these markets to extend the reach of UK business across the country.
