CBI comments on HS2

A CBI Spokesperson said:

“HS2 offers a real opportunity to regenerate local economies, provide jobs and boost growth across communities. Its tracks form an essential part of the Northern Powerhouse Rail scheme – to imply there is a choice between the two is to wilfully mislead the public.

“These plans will deliver better connections between the towns, cities and international gateways that will assist the North’s long-term growth, and reflect business priorities across the country.”
