CBI NI responds to Government financial support for NI freight routes

“The government’s decision to stand behind the main operators in the roll-on-roll-off ferry sector at this difficult time acknowledges the vital role they play ensuring essential goods reach the UK and the island of Ireland. These routes are the lifeblood of the local economy, so this support is very welcome.

“These routes are critically important at this time for the movement of goods, including food and medical supplies. Businesses and the communities they serve across Northern Ireland will breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that these crucial parts of the supply chain will remain in operation.”
