“Strike action will be particularly regrettable at a time when the economy is under such strain, so continued dialogue to avert industrial action is vital.
“It’s likely both passenger and freight services will be seriously impacted. “Workplaces relying on the rail network will need to demonstrate even greater flexibility, while disrupting the delivery of critical raw materials will inevitably add to existing supply chain challenges.”
