CBI Scotland responds to Cerg's twelve-point plan to tackle climate emergency
26 August 2019
“Today’s publication marks an important moment for tackling Scotland’s climate emergency and demonstrates the leading role business needs to play in this essential global challenge.
“The twelve-point plan highlights some useful and practical suggestions that Ministers can take forward to accelerate Scotland’s charge towards net zero and we look forward to working with government on how these can be implemented at a practical level.
“By setting the most ambitious net-zero target of all UK nations, Scotland is already streets ahead when it comes to cutting carbon emissions. By focusing on areas like improving energy efficiency and carbon capture technology, government and business can work in partnership to deliver the kind of change we need.”
