CBI Scotland responds to latest labour market statistics

Tracy Black, CBI Scotland Director, said:

“While Scotland continues to buck the national trend with further employment growth, we can’t escape the fact that businesses and households are still bearing the brunt of the pandemic.

“The continuation of lockdown restrictions makes it ever more urgent that the UK and Scottish governments do everything they can to protect job and livelihoods. The Job Retention Scheme needs to run to at least the end of June to avoid a cliff-edge.”
