CBI Wales comments on plans to upgrade Cardiff Central Station and develop a West Wales Parkway

“Today’s announcement of an additional £58m to upgrade to Cardiff Central station and develop a West Wales Parkway is good news for the whole South Wales economy.

“Along with the investment in the Metro, these new projects will mean a more interconnected and multi-modal region capable of spreading opportunity and prosperity to all of our communities.

“Shorter journey times and less crowding will improve the passenger experience and a new look Cardiff central station will give our nation’s capital city a train station to be proud of.”
